In past postings I have read that the pyxis should not be at a cardinal point for initialization. The sentence in the help section that says this has a line drawn though it now, so does it matter if the pyxis is at 0 or 90 degrees for initialization? If I need to set it at 15 degrees for example, do I also need to calibrate the guider in that position before I hit the initialize button? (I accidentally posted this in the wrong forum, CCDStack)

It should work ok near a cardinal point but if at all possible, I'd recommend a bit rotated away for best success.

John,

Thanks for the replies. CCDAP3 is connecting to everything now. We are clouded out for the rest of the week. I am looking forward to initialization when it clears up.
