I have noticed that the RA and Dec obtained by moving the FOV to a star and then clicking "Get" always is a little off. See attached screen grabs here and in the next posting.

Larry,

What you are seeing is normal and proper. It is the difference in coordinates between the J2000 equinox and the current equinox for a given target The former is used for all coordinate references and the latter is used for telescope movements. CCDAP precesses J20000 equinox coordinates to the current equinox when a telescope slew is required.

Look at the object information box in TheSky, general tab to see the difference.
