Hi,
I had another issue tonight. I tried the pre-set start time. After connecting to mount and CCDSOFT, CCDAP waited until the start time had reached. However, the mount was still in its park position. Normally, when I hit the connect button in The Sky the mount moves to the home position, but not if done via CCDAP. Any reaction on this? Josch,
All CCDAP does is tell TheSky to connect to the mount. What happens after that is between TheSky and the mount, in this case the ME. I duplicated this problem here with Home after link checked. It appears to be a Software Bisque issue and I have reported it to them. In my delayed start operation, I start the ME manually, connect and home. I like to be sure everything is up and running first. Some folks never even turn the ME off! You might want to use one of these tactics until Bisque resolves this issue. John CCDAutoPilot author |

Thanks John for the reply. Actually The Sky is setup in such a way that as soon as you hit the connect icon (green scope icon in The Sky) than the scope automatically goes to the home position.
So, connecting via CCDAP and manually in The Sky is different. I will follow your advice and will home the mount next time manually. Josch Hambsch http://www.astronomie.be/hambsch http://users.pandora.be/hambsch/ |
