The CCDAP3 process advanced up to the point of taking an image, but it didn't. The autoguiding process continued. Focussing had concluded, using the imager, but the status report entries stopped at the entry that shows the altitude of the image, immediately before imaging normally starts. I have 10 min subs setup and I let it sit through 40 minutes until it was time to focus again. Nothing else has appened.

It would be better if the left side of the status window could be lopped off. The window is too big, cannot always be manuvered, has no miniature button and is in the way. I'd rather pull the status window up to see the log entries so as to see if operations are continuing.

It's a rare clear night.

Tonight the demo window is there but after the noisy splash the url that suggests it's going to go to a demo merely goes back to the 'click here for demo' window.

Thanks for the programs
Dave Bailey

Whoops! I just noticed the smaller buttons across the top of the splash that will get to the tutorial.
Unfortunately the sound is completely unintelligible, chopped up and garbled.

Dave:

Can you please post the log file from your run so we can take a look at it?

On the status dialog, there is an option under the file menu for 'Always on Top', you can deselect that option that will allow you to view your other programs.

I just checked the on-line demonstration and it seems to work fine. I am not really sure what you are seeing?

1. Can you see the click for demo button?
2. When you click on the demo does the pop-up Window display?

On ccdware.com/products/ccdap3 overview last paragraph says 'click on demo above' -- there is no such button above

on ccdware.com/products/ccdap3/tutorials I click on the active url 'Setting up Your Systrm Selecting Target' - it generates a blank page with no sound

ccdap3 did not take any images last night - the log was sent as attachment to the request
(it's attached here too)

The computer I'm trying to see the demo and tutorials with is Pentium 4 - 1.72 GHz - 512 MB of RAM Windows XP PRO

Dave,

Are you seeing this at this link:

We are looking at your log file. Was CCDSoft guiding but exposing from the main imager?

The autoguider was guiding but the main imager indicated 'ready'. It was never turned on

Yes. Now the 'click here for demo' window is showing. It was not a short while ago, as I mentioned. It's OK now

Richard,
Thanks for all your help.

Another question: The 'open dome' button is greyed out. The dome is powered on, the CCDAP3 is in connected mode. What else is required?
Thanks again,
Dave Bailey

John just posted an announcement that release 3.01 is addressing the greyed out open dome button.

Now I've experienced that the dome did not close after dawn flats were completed. The Options|Shutdown "Close Dome after Dawn Flats" button was checked.

Thanks
