Good Seeing |
I have just been exercising CCDAP3.
BTW when I hit run this time the dome opened. The cooler was turned on and, as set, cooled to -25C. It's now waiting to get dusk flats, after which I presume it will try for darks. Not much time available here. Can it be set up to order the darks sequence before dusk flats, when there will be more time available in the afternoon? In that case it will be better to not open the dome shutter until dusk flats, or time for lights if no flats are required. Thanks, Dave Bailey |

Dave,
No it can not. Most camera shutters are not light tight and you can not take accurate darks of any length during daylignt/dusk - even in a dome. So the sequence is: Dusk flats, any darks then light frames. This is the sequence for most professional observatories. John CCDAutoPilot author |
