I have been using AP3 for a few sessions so far. Images are taken and meridian flip occurs properly. I'm trying to set up session to follow an eclipsing binary for photometry.
I have 120 seconds set for length of each image in V filter. Multiple images (i.e., 50) are selected. I have 120 seconds (2 minutes) set in other delay box. Help says the delay will occur before each light image. However, during the session, it just takes 50 images with NO 2 minute delay before each image. What am I doing wrong? |

Hi Ken,
The "Other delay" is used to account for other delays in estimating the run time and won't add the delay you want. It is essentially a "bookkeeping" correction. To get what you want, enter a suitable number in the Guide Exposure Delay Factor on the Light Frames page. Even if you are imaging unguided, enter a value for guide exposure in the appropriate light series. For example, if you want a 120 sec. delay, enter 4 in the guide exposure and 30 in the guide exposure delay factor. This will give you a 120 sec. delay between exposures. John CCDAutoPilot author |
