Hi John:
With the most recent release of CCDAP I have noticed that the enhanced dither sequence is being dropped following a return from from focus. For example image one no dither, image two dithered, focus, image 3 no dither, image 4 dithered, focus, image 5 no dither, image 6 dithered and so on. This is a change from the previous release. Sorry, here it is. Take note of light sequence beginning with 19:42:14.

Don,
There is no explicit dither in guiding after an off-target focus slew but there is a "de facto" one nevertheless. See your guide star location at 19:08:59 and compare it to that at 21:34:59. Your previous image at 21:31:05 had an efffective guide star location of 307 - 1.51, 151 + 1.9 or 305.5, 152.9; your guide star location at 21:34:59 was 307, 152 so there is an effective dither. That being said, the next maintenance release will maintain the explicit dither for focusing and flipping. John CCDAutoPilot author |

There is an additional log entry after each focus run that didn't appear in the previous release "guide star peak value" each time this log entry appears the dithering sequence is reset.
