CCDWare, Ltd. Orbiting around Earth |
Jack,
From the CCDAP3 help file, Setting up a session / Settings / Options: Min. Alt: Sets the minimum altitude to which CCDAutoPilot will slew the telescope. If this limit is exceeded during a target run, the light frame acquisition will cease for this target. Either the next target will be selected and acquired or the next programmed task will be executed. If Min. Alt is set to 0, there will be no minimum altitude limit applied. To order an additional CCDAP3 license for SSRO South, see http://www.ccdware.com/buy/ Thanks, John CCDAutoPilot author |

Excellent Seeing |
Hi Jack,
This feature works very well. I had an object setup last night starting in the west. I got pulled off finishing the setup for something else that had to be done. When I got back, I didn't change the light frames and started the run. It doesn't do me any good to shoot below 25 deg. so that's what I have mine set to in CCDAP3. I checked the run this morning and saw that I didn't get but 3 out of 4 Green exposures and the Reds were nowhere to be found. I looked at my log file and sure enough, after the 3rd Green exposure finished, the mount dropped under 25 deg. CCDAP3 parked the mount and started taking my dark frames. It did exactly what I told it, not what I wanted. |
