When I first started using CCDAP, it was pretty quick to re-center the guide star. Now it moves only a fraction of a pixel each time, so it can take several minutes to recenter it (and it sometimes loses heart in the process and starts over).
We much have changed some setting to cause this. Aggressiveness is set at 6 (it had been at 5). Is there anything else that could be causing this? Does CCDAP take its aggressiveness from CCDSoft or its own settings?
In CCDAP3, there is an autoguider calculator where you set your min and max move. You should have your Max move set to 2-4 arc-seconds. If set lower than this, it can take a while for the guidestar to center.
Perhaps you can point me, also, in the right direction for making the status window visible again.
The only way I can reproduce this issue is to close the main window with the status window minimized. In any case, you need to run the CCDAutoPilot3 Reset Tool. I will prevent this from happening on the next maintenance release. In the meantime, don't close the main window with the status window minimized.
