I install the CCDWare Autopilot 3 in a fresh pc. Windows XP Pro (sp2), framework 2.0.
The first time that I try to run the program,
the program crashed and from then when I double
click the icon of the program nothing is happening.

Please help me.

Hi gvidos,

You have probably already done most if not all of this, but since I don't have the history, here's what I would try:

1. Uninstall CCDAP3 and clean the registry.
2. Revert back to a restore point before you initially installed CCDAP3.
3. Re-install DOTNET 2.0 and apply the 1st SP
4. Make sure your Windows OS has all the latest updates.
5. Update your video driver to the latest level.
6. Review your event log for any errors that may have occurred at the time you installed CCDAP3 for the first time. If there is an error, let us know what it is.
7. Reinstall CCDAP3.
8. If the program crashes on first run again, write down all the information on the error code and post it here.

Do you have any other programs running under DOTNET 2.0? Were there any errors associated with the installation and running of them? How much harddisk space on the main drive? Have you defragged the drive and checked for errors? Having the error code that is associated with the problem really helps narrow down what is going on. Good luck.

thank you very much for your reply. Unfortunately
I made all that and I still have the problem.
I didn't had any errors (event viewer). Only
the first time that I run the program in a pc
I receive the following message (without error code).
After that message, when I run the program
nothing is happening (the program is not running,
not even to the task manager).

Hi gvidos,

Sorry that didn't help. What OS are you running on your PC?

Hi gvidos,

I'm still trying to narrow this down as CCDAP3 should start if the install ended properly. How much main memory does your computer have and how big is your paging file?

Can you check the task manager before you click on the close button in the message and see if CCDAutoPilot is in the processes list and if so, how much memory is allocted to it?

I used the update.exe (that was on the ccdware directory) and I download the latest "CCDAutoPilot.exe" and the "ccdap320.chm".
After that when I run the autopilot, I received a "Registration error". I change the regional
settings from Greek to English US and it let me to put my registration number.
Now when I am changing the regional setting back to Greek, the program give me again the Registration error.

George,

Something is seriously wrong with your setup. You should have ccdap340.chm in your CCDAutoPilot3 program folder. ccdap320.chm is from a very a pre-3.40 version. I suspect you also have an old ccdautopilot.exe as well. This may give you a registration error.

I suggest you download the current version from www.ccdware.com/downloads/ and install that one. If you still have problems, uninstall CCDAP3, boot XP into safe mode, make absolutely sure no virus/registry "cleaning" programs are running. Set the region for US English. Install the current version again.

George,

Frankly, that is impossible. I suspect it is a result of your running an old updater.exe you obtained from somewhere else.

I suggest you uninstall CCDAP3, redownload from the web site and follow my earlier recommendations on installation. The version on the web site is 3.41.5. When it runs, it will update automatically to 3.42.2.

Hi George,

That is an old version of CCDAP3 (3.31.1.0). I would suggest uninstalling CCDAP3, then delete the entire CCDAP3 folder. Download the version currently posted on the CCDWare website. You can test that version without entering your registration code to see if it will load. After it is working, you can go back in and register.

I delete all the folder and I install the new version.
The problem with the regional settings exist.
