This morning after a perfect CCDAP3 run I went out to the Paramount GT-1100S/w Mk 4000 controller, and was suprised to see it parked in a very strange position. I went back to my computer and using TheSky6 homed the mount. When I selected the "Park Telescope" command it slewed to the Correct position that I had previously programmed. Note: I was imaging M81/M82 on the East side before finishing with dawn flats.
What could be wrong..? |

You don't say what the "very strange position" is.
There is an on-and-off bug in the ME firmware/TheSky6 such that two subsequent park and connect cycles causes an azimuth wrap that may or may not be handled properly. If this is the problem you are seeing, it can be avoided by making sure your park position is set with a Dec > 0. John CCDAutoPilot author |
