Hi to all;
Because of beeing new to the Auitopilot community and because of bad weather and being ill too, I am playing around indoor to get more familiar with the AP 3. I am wondering if anybody managed to get the "Park" command working with The Sky 6 and the Telscope Simulator. Is yes, what setup did you use in AP 3 and The Sky. Many thanks in advance and best regards from Munich! Peter |

I use this all the time, Peter. Make sure you have TheSky's Telescope/Server settings set as specified in the CCDAP help file, Walkthrough, step 4.

Hello John;
I just tested all once more bot the park command just causes a simulatet RA slew. Will I have also to Check "Allow remote connections"? Mabe this this causes the problem because checking this is denied by Windows because am uing my PC as a user not administrator (it is integrated in our bussiness network)? Any helping ideas? Thank you in advance! Best rgards Peter |

Hello John;
I have to add that suddenly the windows deny warning disappeared and a The Ky Server window appeared showing "Listening on port 9032" - attachment "1". But there is no change in behavior - the same undefined slew in RA when hitting the cark command og AP 3 - attachment "2". I habe to say that all directly to the Scope Simulator done commands - attachment "3" - like Par, Unoark, Track On/Off work flawlessly but also Track On/Of switched in AP the causes no change in the Sope Simulaor window! Any idea how I get this working, it would be quite impotatnt for my, because I have my observatory not in my backyard but nearly 1 hour to drive away each direction... Many thanks in advance for your help! Sorry for my sometimes funny English - I am from Germany... After wiriting I see that I can just add one attachment, so I copied all three into one pictuse. Hi John,
Many thanks for your patience and help. I was absolutely sure I had passed the whole walking trough completely and did it again several times, then Í foud the trivial reason. Obviousely there was no psrk position defined after all settings were done. Although there is still a stange behaviour when sending the Park command from AP 3 which does not happen when I park directly in The Sky, but for testing I am sure, this does not matter: When sending the Park command, the simulated scope first slews about 1 arcmin to the east, there it stops for a while and then it is slewing to park position??? I am courious whether this also happens at the real scope. I was ready for driving out this evening, but again rain is forcasted and because storing the 600mm Cassegrain not in a dome, but under a roll off roof I can't check it unter those conditions! Best ragards Peter |

Yes it does, Peter. It does this by design.

I understand, this slew is part of the programm, so I must not be afraid wehen this happens at the scope also.
Did my first complete indoor session - rainfall has begun at the ocservatory... Thanks again for the superior customer support! Peter |
