I use an FLI Proline camera. I use CCDSoft with the FLI plug in to control the camera and it works fine under CCDAutoPilot. I cannot set the temperature or the download speed of the Proline in CCDSoft. I open the FLI camera control software, FLI Grab to set the temperature and to set the download speed at high or low. I have used the camera with FLI Grab and CCDSoft open at the same time without any problems so that I could adjust download speed as necessary. Will it affect the operation of CCDAP to have both programs open when I am running a target list for the night?

Hi Kirk,
It really depends on the FLI driver. If the driver supports simultaneous commands from two different programs, then it should work. Some drivers require a single application, CCDSoft, for example, to initialize the camera and another app, such as FLI Grab would then reinitialize it. I think you need to take your question to FLI as to whether both FLI Grab and CCDSoft can simultaneously operate the driver. John CCDAutoPilot author |
