Hey John,
Just woundering if you could help.Is it possible to set AP to do a auto dark and use it for each image in a bulk lot of files.I am talking about the supernova hunting again.I am doing 55 sec exposures and would like to auto dark of 55 sec so I can use it for all the files.I can do this in CCD soft but when AP takes control it doesnt do it.Is there a setting that I can use. Thanks Stu |

Hi Stu,
There is currently no provision in CCDAP to do data calibration on the fly. Using a simple autodark as in CCDSoft will increase the noise in the resultant image, thereby decreasing the SNR. For best SNR, you need to make a master dark from a number of dark frames. John CCDAutoPilot author |

Hi John,
Thanks for the info. Do you know of a programme that will apply a master dark frame to a bulk number of files that would help me out. also on another matter I have now found 6 supernova using AP4.A major difference was when you added the simplify number option. that was great. Thanks Stu |
