In reading over some of the discussions regarding guider calibration, is it best to rotate the guider (with camera attached) a few degrees off of square? In other words I have tried calibrating with the RA/Dec square to the camera...however should I change that to say 10 degrees (or I guess 350 degrees, 10 degrees off of perfectly square in other words) and calibrate the guider then? I would assume that it would be OK to just rotate the guider with its control software 10 or so degrees off of square? So the PA would not be 0 but say 10 (or 350).

You say calibrate, I think you mean initialize. If so, you should initialize 10 degrees or so away from a cardinal point, assuming you are using CCDSoft. There is no such limitation with Maxim, i.e. you can initialize at 0, 90, 180, etc.
