Good Seeing |
For starters:
The guide scope camera Insert WCS shows alignment of less than 1 degree from 360. The imaging camera Insert WCS shows alignment of ~2 degrees from 360. To initialize with CCDAP4, Pyxix was then rotated to 17 degrees. The initialization was with the guide scope. The log shows the rotator offset at 36 degrees. Why is that? To start an imaging run: TheSky6 FOVI is at 0 degrees. The rotator is at 0 degrees. I think the offset is ~2 degrees. The guide scope is 0 degrees. But CCDAP rotates to 36 degrees. The position angle of the resultant image is 36 degrees, but I wanted it to be ~0 degrees. This is new behavior for me and I don't know what I have done to get the rotator offset of 36 degrees instead of near zero. (I've done more than couple of initializations getting similar offsets). I assume you have a 2" Pyxis. There have been reports of them slipping position. The rotator offset to PA, according to your log is 36 degrees. That would indicate the rotator is not at 0 when you think it is.
Are your targets frames properly as you set them up in TheSky? If not, I'd look for a hardware issue in your rotator/camera mounting, etc. John CCDAutoPilot author |
