Ray,

For some reason I am cursed by only having 50% of my .txt files saving without corrupt data.

Taking PEC data is not the most exciting aspect of this hobby so doubling my time on 24 min cycles is getting frustrating.

Below is a screen shot of the error to see if you can locate the issue...

Also, is it ok to "re-sync" during acquisition?

Thanks Ray!

Hi Kurt,

Can you upload a log file wit this issue so I can take a look at it? Also what are the specifics of your PC, operating system, camera, and telescope?

Ray,

Log file attached - as you will see the data is corrupt.

Camera is a ST-4000XCM, computer is HP Compaq 6910p laptop 2.2GHz w/ 3 GB ram on Windows XP Professional 2002 SP3, telescope is LX200 ACF 4.2G.

Thanks for your help!

Kurt,

That is pretty bizzare. I have never seen or heard of anything like that happening. Did you merge two files together as it looks like there are two log files in that one log file?

I'm wondering if your PC has a memory issue. You might try running the Intel Burn Test or Prime 95 programs to check system stability.

Ray,

Bizzare is right!

I did not merge log files but it sure looks like it. During acquisition the data looks great but when it is saved to a log file 50% of the runs looks like this.

Anyway, after 7, 30 min runs last night I think my PE is very good even though I don't have a log file to back me up on this ~ +/-3 AS P-P on a LX200.

I'll post my final results for this mount once the weather improves and I can get a "good" log file.

If I find out anything I'll let you know.

Thanks!

Kurt (still love the software)
