Poor Seeing |
Hi,
I got a chance to run PemPro last weekend and I gathered 7 worm periods of data. It showed that it was connected to the mount. Afterward I had it analyze and then create a curve and close. The manual shows that a Gemini L4 tab would automatically opened after this closed, but it did not. The tab did not appear either, not found where it is shown in the manual. Can you explain how I get the tab to show so that I can upload the curve to the mount? I must have missed something during the process, but not sure what. Thanks, Floyd |

Hi Floyd,
You have to make sure that the Mount Type is "Gemini Level 4" or else the tab won't appear. To do that, in PEMPro, click "Configure Scopes/Mounts" on the setup tab and check that the "Telescope/Mount Type" is set to "Gemini Level 4". Unfortunately, if the mount type was not set correctly then proper Worm Phase was not established in the log file so you'll have to recollect the data. -Ray Author of PEMPro |

Thanks for the reply Ray. I had the mount set at MI250, because my G-11 has custom gearboxes installed which results in it being the same as the MI250.
The worm worm phase is the same on the MI250 as the G-11 and both use Gemini Lev4, so will the data not be good? The worm period and gear teeth settings are correct in the setup as far as I can tell. Floyd |

PEMPro Authority Orbiting around Earth |
Hi Floyd,
Unfortunately not all G-11's (an MI-250's) have Gemini's so there has to be a way to distinguish them. The MI250 setting in PEMPro's mount types is for mounts that don't have a Gemini. If however you have the mount type in PEMPro selected to "Gemini Level 4", PEMPro will query the Gemini's settings and calculate the mount's worm period directly and automatically when you connect PEMPro to the mount. However, in the Gemini ASCOM driver you may need to select the mount type there (MI-250) - but you've probably already done that. So, to get the Gemini L4 tab to show up you need to select the mount type as "Gemini Level 4" in PEMPro's. I've attached a picture of what this should look like. -Ray Author of PEMPro ![]() |

Hi Ray,
I see, I did not realize that the MI250 setting was not for Gemini. I changed this to Gemini Lev 4, but I did have the MI250 sellected in the Gemini Ascom Driver setup. Looks like I will have to collect data again. :^) Floyd |
