With the exception of 'Tracking On', each of the other test functions responded. I presume, therefore, that when starting flats, that tracking cannot be turned back on. Is there something I could do to enable turning tracking back on?

Dave,
If your mount doesn't support Tracking On or Tracking Off, then you cannot use that facility at the end of the lights run or between targets. However, tracking will most likely be on when you unpark your scope, for example for dawn flats. In that case, you should be able to dither the flats. My advice is to try it to see what happens. Make sure TheSky is set up per the help file, First Use/Walkthrough, step 4.

TheSky6 is set up per the help file.
An 'Important' note in the help file just caught my attention because it states only that CCDAP can send Tracking Off and Park commands to the telescope control program. It skipped mention of Tracking On. Since Park turns tracking off then I assume that tracking will be off for the flats. But I'll try it and see what happens Dave Bailey |

You must be able to turn tracking off and on for many functions. I find tracking on with dither a good approach for sky flats. I take 3 sky flats and combine in CCDStack with a Poisson Sigma Reject to give sufficiently high SNR flats.
Your ME should accommodate both. John CCDAutoPilot author |
