Hi Steve,
I found a peculiar circumstance that causes plate solving to crash. When I moved my FITS files to a drive folder on a drive letter that was on a remote system (a networked drive) and selected one of those images and then press the solve button, a JIT error occurred. When I moved this same file back to the local computer running CCDNavigator, it solved just fine. I've attached the error log that I captured. Thanks, Jonathan nav_err_msg.txt (4 KB, 41 downloads) |

I think the problem is that PinPoint will not retrieve a networked file even though the control being used let's you locate them.
I'll put a trap on this so exceptions aren't thrown but you'll have to put the files on the same machine. Steve... CCDNavigator Author |

Already all the pinpoint references are trapped.
When this occurred, was the little popup on the screen that says "Plate Solving"? Steve... CCDNavigator Author |

No. The Plate Solving message only occurs when it seems to work. This JIT happened after pressing Solve but before anything else.
Thanks, Jonathan |
