I am interested in making histograms of data like aspect ratios generated by CCDInspector to better identify outliers. Is there any way to get access to columns of data generated by CCDI?

Hi Marshall,
If I understand what you are asking for, you can get a complete table of the values computed by CCDI exported for use in Excel or other software. To do this:
Then, you can paste the whole table into Excel or other analysis or word-processing software of your choice. The table values are tab-separated, and first row contains column headers. Here's an example I just created from a set of recently acquired images: Image File FWHM Aspect (%) Stars Used Background (adu) Contrast Ratio Altitude Date & Time Collimation Curvature m57.00000506 2.36" 19 467 881 49.72 +80º 04' 39" 05/22/09 03:18:20 11.1" 62.3 m57.00000507 2.23" 19 524 875 50.46 +81º 31' 18" 05/22/09 03:28:54 9.8" 52.2 m57.00000508 2.05" 21 589 869 51.22 +82º 38' 15" 05/22/09 03:39:30 8.7" 52.1 m57.00000509 2.23" 14 513 876 50.22 +83º 14' 43" 05/22/09 03:50:04 8.8" 52.2 m57.00000510 2.16" 14 527 900 50.83 +83º 12' 30" 05/22/09 04:00:38 11.0" 54.9 Hope this helps. By the way, starting with CCDI v2.0 you can set the desired limits on aspect ratio, FWHM, and other measured values in the Limit Alert dialog. All images exceeding the limits specified will be automatically highlighted in red for easier identification.

Thanks. I'll give that a try.
The reason to do a histogram is to provide some data to help make a more informed decision about where to set the limits. marshall |
