I loaded Stack on my MacBook Pro and each time I try opening I get a message that the license has "Expired". When I copy and paste the serial code in the registration the alpha characters turn to caps and is not accepted.

Are you using CCDStack or CCDInspector, or CCDIS/p plugin? What did you purchase and what product is showing the Expired message?
