Good Seeing |
Hi,
I have a 12" LX200GPS F10. I frequently have difficulty finding a star field that is sufficiently dense to support the current collimation approach. Is there a possibility of getting CCDInspector to support a single, out of focus, star collimation measurement and display. A common approach to collimation of SCTs is to center the dark center of an out of focus star. A tool that detects and displays the amount that the dark center is off-center from the outer brighter star circle would be a big help. Thanks for this great application, George |

Orbiting around Earth |
Hi George,
I've worked on this for a bit before coming up the current CCDI method. There were some issues with doing it the way you are suggesting which led me to come up with another way. This doesn't mean what you are asking is not possible Regards, -Paul |
