Folks,

A new update to CCDInspector, v 1.3.4 is now available.

This is probably the last update to version 1 of CCDInspector before version 2 is released.

Version 1.3.4 fixes a number of issues related to the auto-update feature, and will pave the way to a smoother transition to version 2.

You can download this latest version of CCDInspector from here:

http://www.ccdware.com/downloads

Alternatively, you can use the auto-update feature: simply launch CCDI, and clik from the main menu:

Help->Check for Updates->Now

Regards,

-Paul

Hi, Paul...

I downloaded and installed the update to CCDInspector. When I tried to run it I was told my license is invalid. Has it gone out of date, or have I done something wrong in the installation? Thanks for your help with this.

Hi Terry,

If you are seeing the "Invalid License" message, please try the following:

Download the updated version of v1.3.4 from CCDWare:

http://www.ccdware.com/downloads

Install this version. This should resolve the problem.

Regards,

-Paul

Hello, Paul.

Unfortunately loading the new 1.3.4 release from CCDWare did not solve my problem. After installing the product, when I attempt to open the application, I get the following error message:

CCD Inspector license is invalid. Would you like to purchase a license?

Thank your for your help.

Hi Alan,

Please try the following to make sure you have the latest files. Please uninstall CCDI from Windows control panel. Then, download CCDInspector134.msi from here:

http://pk.darkhorizons.org/CCDI/CCDInspector134.msi

Double-click on the new msi to install it. Please e-mail me privately if you are still having problems: paul [at] pk.darkhorizons.org

Hi Paul,

I downloaded the new version and all was working well.
The installer added desktop shortcuts for the new version so I deleted the original CCD inspector using add/remove programs.
Now when I try to launch it aske me if I want to buy a license,I guess I should have just deleted the shortcuts!

What do I do now?

Thanks,

Jason

Hi Jason,

Make sure you disable UAC on Vista, and login as a real Vista Administrator. After you login, remove whatever CCDInspector version is currently installed through Windows Control panel, then reinstall from the new .MSI file. Make sure to select "For Everyone" when given the option.

If this still doesn't work, please email me privately:

Regards,

-Paul
