Poor Seeing |
HI!
I'm trying to develop a software for a pixelink camera using microsoft visual studio 8.I only try to debug a simple program like 'Hello world' while including the headers that are recommended on the SDK DVD.This does not work as I receive syntax errors and messagens like undeclared identifier.I do not know what is wrong so please can someone help!! |

I don't know why you ask that question here(?)
Obviously that should be addressed to PixeLink, especially since they charge so much for the SDK (which IMHO should be free!). However, I am curious to hear how it goes because I almost got one of their cameras but decided against it, in large part because of their predatory pricing for the SDK. (I decided to go with Point Grey which includes the SDK for free). So let us know how it goes... Stan |

Hi,
Well, I'm asking this same question at every forum that is related with image 0r/and acquisition.I have already written to pixelink but the answer was not conclusive(they told me to see a link which did not help so much). So I have written back and now I'm waiting their answer. |

if you don't mind my asking, why do you intend to write your own code? i.e. what are you wanting to do that can't be done with standard control coftware? (presumably something astro related?)

BTW, I suspect your problems are probably from using a VERY new version of VS. It is unlikely that PixeLink has even installed VS-2008, much less tested its SDK under the new VS. Many developers wait before jumping into a new framework and let others do the testing and bug finding! (cutting edge = bleeding edge)
If you have VS-2005 then use it. Stan |
