CCDIS sounds like a great time saver, so I downloaded a trial version of CCDInspector.
However, when in CCDStack, the standard REGISTER screen/tab shows up rather than the CCDIS screen. What am I doing wrong? (PS - running 32 bit VISTA laptop). Best Regards, Arlo |

Hi Arlo,
What happens when you run CCDInspector from the desktop icon? Does it launch? Any error messages? Vista installation requires you to be logged in as Administrator on the laptop, with the User Account Control (UAC) Vista feature turned off. If you didn't do this already, then uninstall CCDInspector from Windows Control panel, then re-install it as Administrator, UAC=off. Regards, -Paul |

Hi Paul:
CCDInspect runs just fine from the desktop inspector. I had UAC turned off when I installed. (I installed CCDAP4 last weekend, no problems at all...ooops...hope I didn't jinx myself) Best Regards, Arlo Best Regards, Arlo |

Arlo,
Try to reinstall CCDInspector. Remove it from Windows Control Panel, then install from the latest package: http://www.ccdware.com/Files/CCDInspector201.zip Ignore the CCDIS64.msi file in the package as you are running a 32-bit system. Another thought: what version of CCDStack do you have installed? The earliest version supporting CCDIS is CCDStack 1.3.2. Regards, -Paul |

Hello Again.
It's working now. Had CCDStack 1.3.1. Don't know why I had automatic updating turned off. Also, I uninstalled and re-installed CCDInspector. Don't know if this matters, but CCDStack was installed in CCDWARE/CCDSTACK, and CCDInspector was installed as CCDINSPECTOR (one folder up from CCDSTACK. When I reinstalled, I installed as CCDWARE/CCDINSPECTOR Thanks again. Best Regards, Arlo |

Glad to hear it's working, Arlo!
You can change where these two software packages go during their installation. It should work OK either way. By the way, I'm almost ready to release an update to CCDIS that will make it even faster, and even better at matching up different shots. Look for an announcement here, on this forum. Regards, -Paul |
