Good Seeing |
Hi Paul,
I just took some new 15 minute images using an STL 11000 and after opening in CCDI only 3 of 8 returned data while the other 5 were left blank. When I selected one of the blank images and requested a curvature map I received the following error message - "No Stars Found". Interestingly, I can view all 8 of the images in CCDStack and they look to be good images. I can even combine the 8 images in CCDStack to create a fairly nice image but for some reason even the mean combine cannot be analyzed by CCDI returning the same "No Stars Found" error. I appreciate any suggestions. Regards, Wes |

Hi Wes,
Do you by any chance have the Reduction enabled in CCDInspector? You may want to turn it off and try again. If that still doesn't work, try double-clicking on any one of these images in CCDI to have it displayed in the image viewer. What do they look like? If none of these clear things up, I'd need to take a look at one such image, so if you can WinZip it and email it to me, or upload somewhere where I can get it, I'll check it out: paul [at] pk.darkhorizons.org Regards, -Paul |

Paul,
Turning off reduction worked for everything except the mean combine. Since I am really only interested in evaluating subs this is just fine for me. Thanks very much for the suggestion. I'll keep reduction off for this scope / camera combo. Thanks |
