Poor Seeing |
Hi,
Does CCD Stack have any column repeair capability. I tried using the master dark created by CCD Stack with not much success. Any other suggestions? Gary |

Dark subtraction always removes a column defect I have in my camera.

Gary,
For those column defects that can't be removed during calibration John Smith has written a compiler file using Stan's instructions that I have been successfully using for the past few years. I run the compiler (click on Compiler in Pixel Math) just after calibrtation. Update the Compiler to reflect the values of your bad columns. Save the Compiler text file to an easy to remember spot on your computer. In the Compiler open John's compiler file from File / Open then Execute /Apply to All. The compiler file assigns "missing value" to the specified column(s). Then open Data Reject and Impute Missing Value. The bad columns will be repaired. You can find addtional information in the following CCDstack discussion. http://ccdware.infopop.cc/eve/...801005561#7801005561 Good luck. |
