Poor Seeing |
OK, last post, but this has me bugged as well.
I recently upgraded to the V1.6. The Colour routine is slightly different, and has me slightly beat. There is provision for both the greens now, and also an interpolate choice at the top. Choices for newbies are a definite no no Stan, LOL. Short answer, what do you suggest with "Interpolate", and do I use both greens, or just the top/bottom?? Regards, Gary BEAL New Zealand |

Hi Gary, That's what differentiates CCDStack from all the rest! <g> see Help: “main Menu”; “Color”; Convert Bayer” Few people will need to use separate Greens. There are some interline cameras that have unbalanced amplifiers and produce undesirable interpolation (the green channel exhibits block Bayer artifacts after de-Bayering). The ability to separately process the green pixels is there mostly for them and of course for anyone to experiment. The “extract” option is potentially very useful, especially for users who routinely down-size the final image (a very common practice for DSLR). It not only avoids the needless interpolation process (which basically upsizes each color sample) but it also frees up substantial memory for faster performance and easier processing. Stan |
