Poor Seeing |
Been trying in vain to import Canon RAW into CCDStack. I read other threads in this forum about this topic and tried the suggested method -- use Adobe DNG Converter to convert RAW into DNG, then import the DNG files into CCDStack.
The problem I currently have is CCDStack seemingly imports and shows ONLY the tiny jpeg preview and NOT the original 14MB file. Looking for any help in solving my RAW import woes... Thanks! JOhn |

Hi John,
For DSLR, CCDStack needs uncompressed DNG (that will change in an upcomming version). I'm guessing that the DNG converter is set to produce compressed files and so you need to change that setting. Stan |

Hi Stan,
How does one change this setting? I see no toggle anywhere in the Adobe Converter (using the latest v.5.5) Thanks again! |

Unfortunately, the newest version of DNG converter (5.5) has hidden the compression option.
1) "Change Preferences" 2) "Compatibility": Custom 3) select "DNG 1.3" and check "Uncompressed". Stan |
