Good Seeing
Posted
Canon eos 135 mm with STL6303 R 180s G 180s B 270s

This image is stretched to the extreme in order to prominently display the horizontal banding. Dark, bias, flat applied before RGB
combine in MaxIm (align with Registar).

Have never seen this before, am puzzled as to why the bands are there and what to do to prevent them. Have taken many images with the
above set up with these exposure times.
See file attachment.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Poor Seeing
Posted Hide Post
Hello Morgan,

I have cery the same problem with my STL-1301E.
It startet after a total usage of the camera of about a dozen nights and persistet also when using a different laptop. The positions of the stripes vary from picture to picture in my case.

After contacting SBIG they told me that they suspect the error to be located in the analog converter of the camera and that I should send in the camera for repair - so that's what I will do now.

Ineresting for me that I'm not the only one with that flaw - I hope they can fix it permanently.

Greetings,

Martin.
