This is my first galaxy season with BOTH CCDAP and an OAG/rotator. It is a lot of fun catching 3-4 objects a night!
But I'm struggling with flats. Because I have a roll out system, I'm pretty much stuck with dawn flats. But running them at 4-6 different angles of rotation, for 4 different filters is getting tough. John Smith wrote a paper which showed that 4 different angles were all that were needed for pretty good results. I'm about to throw in the towel and do this method. I'm wondering what other people do though? Any advice? John |
